Sting
The fresh, cool air
Blowing through the human congested beaches
The warm, heating sun
Giving light to those who appreciate it
The shock of the chilly water against my warm skin
A relief of escaping the heat.
But what happened next, was not expected…
The excruciating pain of a needle
Piercing through me like a nail through wood
As the poison flows through my foot,
Continuing to my leg
My legs begin to give in
As I trudge through the cold grasp of the ocean.
